Dr. Inayatullah, an eminent and distinguished research scholar, social scientist, human rights and peace activist worked relentlessly in promoting quality research in Social Sciences. Dr. Inayatullah had worked as a researcher with several UN research institutions in New York, Geneva and Kuala Lumpur. Since his retirement from UN in 1983 he initiated and worked with several academic and cultural forums and wrote a number of books and articles for professional journals. He had been engaged in several voluntary activities and was a founding member of a number of forums including the Society for International Development (SID), the Islamabad Cultural Forum and the Pakistan-India Peoples Forum for Peace and Democracy. To honour the services and efforts of Dr. Inayatullah this fellowship award focuses on research work on Peace and Technology.
This grant is being offered to final year Masters-level students of the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies of the Quaid-i-Azam University and The China Study Center of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. A selection committee comprising of academicians, and industry experts will evaluate the applications. Candidates with necessary qualifications, demonstrating outstanding intellectual qualities and personal commitment will be considered for the fellowship programme.
