Islamabad, PK – 11 November, 2015: AGAHI aims to facilitate and conduct futures research in support for the Pakistan Foresight Initiative with its networks of interests. In collaboration with the China Study Center, COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology; AGAHI signed a Memorandum of Understanding exploring cooperation on futures research opportunities. The China Study Center will facilitate AGAHI, Pakistan Node of the Millennium Project a Global Futures Studies and Research Think Tank by participating in international foresight studies.
Through this academic partnership with the center; AGAHI offers research grant from the Dr. Inayatullah Fellowship Programme on ‘Peace and Technology’.
The signing ceremony was attended by Tanvir Jafri, Advisor International Office, CIIT Islamabad, Puruesh Chaudhary Founder and President AGAHI and other members. Tanvir Jafri on the occasion stressed on the need for developing cohesive learning opportunities which focuses on understanding intertwined and interlocked destinies of both Pakistan and China.
AGAHI is a not for profit organization established in Islamabad in 2011 under the Society Registration Act 1860. Its primary function is to create non-paid communication strategies, content intelligence structures, development collaterals and tools for diverse sectors and organizations. AGAHI encourages and advises individuals and institutions in pursuing and supporting initiatives to improve the state of development in Pakistan. It works on developmental frameworks facilitating information and knowledge sharing platforms on understanding challenges in global perspective. AGAHI’s foresight research work mainly focuses on national and international security, ICT, competitiveness, human capital development, and governance.
